Polygon PoS Chain
Polygon (POL) is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum featuring fast, low-cost transactions secured by a proof-of-stake validator set.
Lost a transaction or need to confirm a payment landed on-chain? Polygon Transaction Search lets you paste any transaction hash (TX ID) and retrieve the full record: sender address, recipient address, value transferred, gas price paid, and final confirmation status.
Every Polygon transaction passes through three states before it is considered final: Pending (in the mempool), Processing (included in a block but awaiting confirmations), and Confirmed (finalized on-chain). PolygonScanner shows the current state and the number of confirmations so you always know where your transaction stands.
Gas on Polygon is priced in POL (formerly MATIC). The transaction detail page shows the gas limit set by the sender, the actual gas used, the base fee, and any priority tip. Multiplying gas used by the effective gas price gives the total fee in POL.
A transaction can fail even after it is included in a block. Common reasons include out-of-gas errors, reverted smart-contract calls, and slippage violations on DEX swaps. The status field will show 'Fail' and the revert reason is displayed where available.
Polygon Scanner offers a comprehensive suite of blockchain explorer tools for the Polygon network. Use the navigation below to access all available features:

POL (formerly MATIC) is used to pay gas fees, stake with validators, and participate in on-chain governance on the Polygon network.
Polygon is fully EVM-compatible, meaning any Ethereum smart contract or dApp can be deployed on Polygon with minimal code changes.
